    Hi everyone,

thought I would quickly introduce myself to you all :) I'm Jonathan, but know more for my nickname as Joffie, I first discovered Darren's teaching through another forum and ever since I haven't looked back. I currently run my own engineering business now for the last 10 years which has been going great. But I discovered Forex a good 4 years ago and it just started out as a hobby to me at first, then I started to see trading more as a business than a hobby and my goal is to eventually move to trading full time. Probably like you all I've had my ups and downs with trading but I've always been a kean learner of just raw price action trading. I think its great to have a community like this where the traders are all focused on trading the same methods, so looking forward to working with you all and hoping to to make some new friends along the way. I have a big interest in motorsport and there's nothing more than I like is thrashing around my local race track in my kit car. Well hope to chat to you all soon

    Joffie

Is that a Striker kit car, Joffie, & if so did you build it yourself & with what engine (they look great) ?

A long, long time ago (1973), my Dad said he would buy me a car for my 21st birthday, but it had to be new & the budget was GBP 750 (the price of a new Mini, Hillman Imp etc). I presented my case for a kit car and after quite some "negotiation", became the proud owner of a Ginetta G15, delivered in parts to our house. There were no instructions, but someone had written an article about his G15 build, complete with helpful tips and photographs, in "Cars & Car Conversions" the year before. It took me and my best friend about a week to work it out : the result was fantastic :

    Hi jtrade

Yes that's right it's a raw striker kit car, but I bought it already built, and was a brilliant build quality. I did think about building one myself being in engineering would have been a good project but I just didn't have the time.
You might be intrigue by the engine, it has a R1 bike engine in it which can get me from 0-60 in just over 3 seconds, which is perfect for track use. I have made many mods to get it up to track specs.

Good on you to take the time to build one yourself it's a great achievement to see the finished article knowing you done it all yourself :)

    Holy Toledo  !

So your 998cc R1 puts out about 180hp @ 10,000 rpm - simply staggering - my 998cc Imp engine (already bored out from the standard 875cc) put out 51hp @ 6,100 rpm.

    That's 43 years of progress !

Ah the Hillman Imp, I had one in the early seventies it had a stage 2 holby head with twin strombergs, I had to put three bags of cement in the bonnet to keep the front down. Those were the days ..........
It went like s*** off a shovel but with little steering, hence the cement!!
